People have been asking me, "What do you guys need? Where are you registered?"
We registered for a smaller number of things than the usual big wedding - groom and bride. This is due to time constraints, unexpected trips, and the recent purchase of our new home. We have not yet settled into our new home and we lack of a lot of furniture, so things like Table Linens are not on the registry. Our Dining room sits bare, with only a few boxes from our move.
We have not picked a "theme" or colors for our new home, so what was picked was for the kitchen, entertaining, bedroom and bath. This was done via www.WeddingChannel.com.
I began registering for items for the yard, and found that the prices were significantly higher than HomeDepot. I didn't like the idea that someone might unnecessarily pay more. If you are having a hard time, we will *gladly* accept gift-certificates for home maintenance, restoration, a new dishwasher and sink, home decor, the Time Life Series of Home Improvement Books and toward new furniture.
If you find something you think we will love, then feel free to buy it! Most of you know me and Brendan pretty well, and we lean toward a more Art Nouveau, rich and organic design sense. Brendan loves Japanese design as well. I also have an great appreciation of Mexican and Russian design. Needless to say, we are an eclectic pair and love it.
If you are having a hard time finding something for us, we are too! I hope this helps those who are having difficulty with finding something. I assure you that all gifts will be appreciated and cherished by us both.
